Our Humble Beginnings:

A Pastor's Vision ...

New Direction Agape Services (NDAS) is a divine vision of Pastor Kenneth D. Goss and 1st Lady Denise Wade - Goss; being birthed out of the benevolent heart of the New Direction Baptist Church (est. 2008) as a solid response to the needs that the surrounding community have consistently presented over the past several years. The desire to show compassion and meet community need are the impetus behind developing this non-for-profit organization. The vision is one that not only meets individual and family needs but also strives to equip and support continuous development in the community overall.  

Officially established in 2016; NDAS has already and remains to afford community support and development by giving food to the hungry, providing temporary emergency shelter to those in crisis situations, supporting individuals and families that have been impacted by the criminal justice system as well as offered employment readiness services to those who are in need of skills to acquire self-sufficiency. Additionally, NDAS has provided a safe haven for youth in the community by scheduling events that build character, teach individual and community responsibility while including educational services, support and future preparation for college and / or the workforce. On top of this the NDAS staff provides a listening ear and a open heart to the youth so that they understand that they matter as individuals and that people care about the things that concern them.

Currently, NDAS is in the process of building community partnerships, scheduling fundraisers and seeking the assistance of community grants that will allow for the services already being provided to expand. The overall community, families and individuals are the benefactors of our services and we desire not only to continue in the provisions being made but also to do more.

Mission: To impact & inspire; to educate & empower individuals, families and communities to address and overcome the adversities that life presents. By providing out-reach opportunities and various services that equips (them) with skills, support and resources that enables stability and success to be achieved and maintained.
